Holiday disasters due to Water Damage

The holiday should be a happy time for everyone but this was not the case this past Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for two families.  I had the phones for the "on call crew" the week leading up to Christmas. The first emergency call I received was from a family who had their water supply line from their upstairs toilet break.  Water leaked down to all three of the floors. I immediately notified our on call crew and they got there as soon as they could to start the clean up.  Since the water went through all three floors it flooded their living room where they had their beautifully decorated tree and all the gifts for their children.  Needless to say all the gifts were ruined and their beautiful tree destroyed.  Despite all this grief the owner was in such good spirits.  She said these things do happen at the worst times but she is so grateful for all she is blessed with including a wonderful husband and three beautiful children. This is the true meaning of the holiday - not material things but the love we have for each other.
