Where does Mold Come From?

Mold appeared on a ceiling after a water leak occurred.

Mold -growth is encouraged by warm and humid conditions. Outdoors they can be found in shady, damp areas or places where leaves or other vegetation is decomposing

Residential mold prevention and control

  • Cleaning and repairing roof gutters, to prevent moisture seepage into the home
  • Keeping air-conditioning drip pans clean and drainage lines clear
  • Monitoring indoor humidity
  • Drying areas of moisture or condensation and removing their sources
